Project Overview

The “Play to Learn” (نلعب لنتعلم) project is a crucial three-month initiative (Oct–Dec 2025) designed to empower 75 teachers in rural Damascus
This project is a partnership between STEMA Pro and مديرية تربية ريف دمشق

  • Integrate STEM methodologies (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and dramatic pedagogy (مسرحة المنهاج) into curricula.
  • Foster interactive and social-emotional learning skills
  • Establish a sustainable knowledge infrastructure in 10 pilot schools

The total project budget is $20,100 USD, allocated across three primary operational areas for the three-month duration (October-December 2025).

Implementation Plan

The project utilizes a rigorous, three-month training model to empower the target group.
75 teachers are divided into 3 groups of 25, with each group receiving a total of 42 hours of training over 6 days, amounting to 126 total training hours.
All sessions will be conducted in accredited training centers in Rural Damascus.

Project Deliverables and Sustainable Impact

  • Establishing a digital platform for teacher exchange and experience sharing.
  • Implementing a “Pedagogical Play Week” and a closing exhibition to showcase results.

Monitoring and Evaluation

A rigorous M&E plan is crucial to assess the project’s effectiveness, track teacher growth, and ensure long-term impact in the pilot schools. This will involve both quantitative and qualitative measures.

  • Pre- and Post-Training Surveys to measure changes in knowledge, confidence, and professional behavior.
  • Classroom Observation and applied notes to evaluate practical application within the schools.
  • School Follow-up Reports and analysis of student engagement/outcomes.
  • Field Visits after training concludes to assess the practical implementation of new methodologies.

Current Project Status

The “Play to Learn” project is currently in the Pre-Implementation Phase. The team is finalizing procurement of STEM kits and technology (laptops/projectors) while coordinating the official training schedule with the مديرية تربية ريف دمشق. The launch date remains set for October 2025.
